Sharon Moalem MD, PHD, is an award winning neurogeneticist and evolutionary biologist, with a PhD in human physiology. His work brings evolution, genetics, biology and medicine together to explain how the body works in new and fascinating ways. As a college student he was given as a gift to the King of Thailand. Since then Dr. Moalem went on to cofound a biotech company and develop an antimicrobial drug designed to address the growing problem of superbug infections such as MRSA. His research in neurogenetics led to the discovery of new genetic association for familial Alzheimer disease. Dr. Moalem and his work have been featured on CNN, in the New York Times, on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, the Today Show, Bloomberg Night Talk and in magazines such as New Scientist, Elle, and Martha Stewart's Body + Soul. Dr. Moalem's first book was the The New York Times bestseller Survival of the Sickest.
